Our club provides a weekly Team Tennis House
League where members will be split into teams and play each other
in doubles. This event is open to members wishing to start participation
in competitive play. Players will earn points for their respective
teams and the team with the most points at the end of the season
will be declared the winners.
There will be 2 sessions per night, one at 7:00 pm and one
at 8:30 pm.
Each session will be split into two halfs of 45 minutes.
(7:00-7:45 , 7:45-8:30) and (8:30-9:15 , 9:15-10:00)
Matches are 45 minutes in length and are played during a session
half.
There will be 8 matches per session between
the two scheduled teams, 4 in the first 45 minute half, 4 in the
second 45 minute half.
Each player will get to play 2 matches (with
different partners/opponents), one in the first 45 minute half
and one in the second 45 minute half for their team's session.
The match winner is the doubles team that has won the most number
of games within the 45 minutes.
A team will be awarded 1 point for each winning match they play.
Match lineups will be emailed by Wednesday to team members for
the following Monday.
If a player cannot make their scheduled match, the match is
defaulted and the team receives 0 points. To avoid this, players
should contact the house league co-ordinator (see email address
at top of page) as soon as possible to try to find a substitute
player for their team.
