We are glad to have Ivan back for his 7-th season at German Mills. Ivan is an experienced tennis professional and a certified Tennis Canada coach. He has the expertise to teach the basic beginner through to junior ranked competitors. He has 17 years of coaching experience at the Mayfair Racquets and Fitness Club. Ivan will provide structured programs for children and adults. Private, semi-private, group lessons, after school clinics and summer camps will be available.

Ivan has been a Tennis Professional at Mayfair Health and Fitness Club for eleven years. He brings further experience as former Coach of the Junior Elite Tennis Team, and was a driving force behind the successful WTT (Welcome to Tennis) program. Prior to being named Head Tennis Professional at German Mills, Ivan served as Manager for Mayfair Health and Fitness Club where he was responsible for overseeing all departmental activities and programs throughout the Club.

Subsequent to retiring from tournament play, Ivan established his own tennis school in South Africa. He has been coaching beginner to national level players for over thirty years, and is widely regarded as a trusted and dedicated expert in his field. Ivan relies on his strong technical background, motivational style, and comprehensive knowledge of the game to ensure that his students maximize their potential and enjoy their play.

As a Double Provincial Sportsman in both tennis and swimming, Ivan has realized many accomplishments throughout a distinguished and extensive career in sport. He played in Provincial and National Tournaments in South Africa and has the distinction of attaining ranking as a junior player. Ivan holds the highest qualifications as a Tennis Professional, the prestigious U.S.P.T.R. and S.A.T.U., as well as Certification from Tennis Canada.

Under the direction of Ivan, German Mills Tennis Club will provide outstanding structured programming for children and adults. Emphasis will be placed on developing the skill, technique and sportsmanship necessary to achieve success. Students will have the opportunity to learn, improve and excel while having fun in a positive and friendly environment. Private, Semi-Private and Group lessons, as well as Round Robin Events will be available.

Juniors programs will also be offered, these are After School Clinics and Summer Tennis Camp for younger players.
